Strategic Links India (SLI) is an initiative aimed at helping spouses of expats find gainful employment or diversion while their partners worked in the country. Today, SLI which functions as an NGO, has over a hundred members. “We wanted to provide a platform to such expats so that they are able to network with the right people and get some meaningful assignments,” says Catarina, executive director, SLI. The NGO has already placed as many as 40% of its members, and 40% are still on the lookout for jobs. The rest, says Catarina, “are planning to get started”.Expat-medföljare är en klart underskattat resurs.
